Diesel Fuel

D

Diesel engines are known for their superior pulling power, fuel efficiency and longevity. They are unpopular in the United States because of emissions restrictions that ban their use in some states and a reputation for being noisy and smelly.  Diesel Engines get around 30 percent better mileage than gas-powered engines.

Clean diesel refiners are working to make ultra-low sulfur fuel available nationwide. The sulfur content (15 parts per million) is equivalent to one ounce of sulfur per tanker truck of diesel.

New advanced technologies such as electronic controls, high-pressure fuel injection, variable injection timing, improved combustion chamber configuration and turbocharging – have made diesel engines cleaner, quieter and more powerful than past vehicles.
