Reading Journal
I. In addition to the journal writing assignments in the book, as part of the
requirements for this class, you will keep a reading journal. A reading journal is a response to a particular work that you have read. You must read the assigned story, and write a response to it through your journals using the guidelines below. No late journal will be accepted.
Guidelines
Keeping a Reading Journal
1. After you read, write a journal explaining what you learned from the assigned reading and your impression of the reading.
2. Write a brief summary of the reading. Next, write down a brief response to the reading. What did the essay make you think or feel? Explain why you could or could not relate to what the author described.
3. Your instructor may assign additional topics .
