Lectures on Ennio Morricone's Film Music

When I traveled to new York City in 2007 to attend Ennio Morricone's concert at Radio City Music hall, I had the good fortune to be invited to the Manhattan School of Music to present a lecture on Morricone's film music. Since then, I have continued my research on his film music and I am occasionally asked to present a lecture on that research.

Past lectures include:
  • Musical Gesture, Modality, and Dissonance in “L’Estasi dell’Oro” from Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo: Decoding Ennio Morricone’s Micro-Cell Technique (short version)
    • Friday, November 6, 2009 at 3:30 p.m., at the University of Leeds, School of Music, Lecture Hall 3
    • Leeds, England.
  • Musical Gesture, Modality, and Dissonance in “L’Estasi dell’Oro” from Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo: Decoding Ennio Morricone’s Micro-Cell Technique (long version)
    • Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Northwestern University, Regenstein Hall, Master Class Room
    • Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A.
  • Ennio Morricone: Il Maestro dell Cinema
    • Friday, February 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at the Manhattan School of Music
