Plagiarism and Collusion Statement

According to Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, to plagiarize is "to steal or pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source... to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source..." Plagiarism is dishonest and unethical.

Also, according to Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, collusion is "secret agreement or cooperation esp. for an illegal or deceitful purpose..." Collusion is also dishonest and unethical.

Any suspected cases of plagiarism or collusion will be immediately turned over to the Dean of Students for disciplinary action. For further information on Student Conduct, visit the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution web site.
