![]() The Council on Social
Work Education’s Council on Global Learning, Research and Practice has
appointed Professor Mark Lusk, Ed.D., to a three-year term that begins
July 1.
As a council member, Lusk is responsible for helping manage the development of curriculum that will strengthen the quality of social work education at accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs in social work; promote research and faculty development; and advocate for social work education. Lusk joined The University of Texas at El Paso in July 2007. He has initiated a series of innovative collaborative projects with social work faculty and students at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and with community organizations in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez. The council is a nonprofit national association founded in 1952. It represents more than 3,000 individual members as well as graduate and undergraduate programs of professional social work education.
