UTEP's New Summer '08

"The semester isn't even over yet and I'm being bombarded with information about summer school,” you think to yourself. And you're correct.

UTEP’s colleges and school have increased their offerings for summer school in response to your requests, and we want you to take full advantage. In the College of Liberal Arts alone, for example, summer course and section offering have increased from about 80 to more than 250.

That means you’re likely to find the class you need or want to take to help you reach your degree sooner!

Here’s why else you should attend summer school:

  • Get a jump on graduation: A few courses this summer and a few more the next summer... Before you know it, you’ll be walking across that stage to receive your diploma.
  • Make up a class: Summer school is a perfect time to focus on a class you may have dropped or struggled with before. Stay on track toward graduation by making up a class or two over the summer.
  • Make the most of your time: Work and personal commitments don't always allow you to sign up for that one class you’re required to take at the time it is offered. Summer school could help you get that one course out of the way—and free up your time later!
  • Smaller class sizes:  Summer school can help you get more one-on-one time with your professor!
  • Financial assistance: Grants, loans and other financial assistance is available for summer, too!

“Sounds good, but I’ll wait for the spring semester to be over first,” you may be saying. Why wait? Don’t delay, register now and be among the first to take advantage of all the opportunities at UTEP this summer.
