Let me tell you a few words of advice my late grandpa used to tell me, and I remember them everytime I doubt my education:
"What you have in your pockets people can always steal, but what is in your head they can never touch."

About Me:

I work at the University of Texas at El Paso full time as a Systems Analyst within the Border Biomedical Research in the role of a Bioinformatics Support staff member. In which I work on a variety of projects, a few of which are listed below. I am currently a PhD Canidate within the Computational Science Program at UTEP. For a more detailed history and accomplishments please see my CV.

My Projects:

ISOGLYP: isoglyp.utep.edu

ISOGlyP is a protein O-glycosylation prediction resources that is useful in predicting Theronine or Serine sites of proteins that are translocated to the Golgi. There are 20 identified ppGalNAc tranferases in humans and they are expressed in a a variety levels in different tissues. Many studies have shown the significant change in the expression levels of the ppGalNAc-transferases for different types of cancer. The purpose of ISOGlyP is to perform O-glycosylation prediction utilizing in vitro analysis of the preferences of 10 of the 20 human ppGalNAc-transferases.
