We observed hands-on, project-centered classes. A group of students was working on a golf car size vehicle, projecting what was the longest ride the car could run on one liter of gas. The vehicle was both battery and gas operated. Its design was sponsored by Honda and the students had obtained the first place at a contest. Another group was designing a robot that could pick, load and deliver products.
