In Greek Mythology, there exist many stories about the beginning of things.
THE CREATION MYTH.

In Hesiod's cosmogony, first there were Chaos and Earth, from Chaos came Erebus and Night; from Night the Ether and Day. Earth first produced the Sea, then Ocean, and then the Titans, Coecus, Crius, Hyperion (Sun), Iapetus, Theia, Rhea, Themis (divine Ordinance), Mnemosyne (Memory), Phoebe (Moon), Tethys, and Cronus.
