Understanding the dialectic also allows us to propose that there are really two very different kinds of change in this world.

First of all, there are constant, gradual  quantitative [subtle, "micro-level"] changes that are always going on.

Things constantly change little by little. These changes are so slow and tiny that sometimes it seems like things are not changing at all! 

  Just as in your own life you struggle, and struggle, work and study and live and love, and it sometimes looks like things are never going to change.

 But then, sooner or later, there comes...
