Campus Event Reports (2)
Purpose: To promote a culture of student engagement
in order to promote student success.
As an integral part of this course, you will
attend at least two campus events that
interest you, and report on them. These can
be cultural, academic, intellectual, sports,
professional ,or movie events sponsored,
supported, permitted or allowed by the
University somewhere on the actual physical campus,
or events sponsored by UTEP itself off
campus. Events must be open to
Off-campus events that are not sponsored
by UTEP (e.g., religious, social, political
or fraternity events that take place off
campus) do not qualify for this
Your first report, on some event taking
between August 22 and October 6, is due
by Friday, October 7,
8:30 am, or before.
The second report, on
an event taking place between October 7 and
November 27, is due by Nov. 28 or before. These
events cannot be meetings of the same group
that you join for the Organization Report
assignment, or events produced or sponsored
by that same group. .
Each report is worth 5% of your final grade
for the course. In each report, you should
briefly discuss the following points:
1. Name and type of event, date, time and
2. Purposes, goals or areas of interest of

4. What actually went on during the event.
5. Your personal reactions to the event that
6. Did you like the event, or not? Why, or
Event reports should be titled "Event 1" and
If you wish, you may collaborate with other
members of your Work Group on writing these
reports. However, each student must
personally attend the event in question, and
the names of all students collaborating on a
report must be indicated.
These reports are to be turned in
INDIVIDUALLY (not one per group!)
