IMPORTANT UGLC CLASSROOM POLICY - FOOD AND BEVERAGES  

    It is a firm UTEP policy that there is no food or drink allowed in any of the UGLC. classrooms, labs, and auditoriums. A food incident involving both faculty and students a couple of years ago resulted in the destruction of a computer system at an expense of $5,000 and the loss of room use until repairs could be made.  This has forced the administration to begin monitoring room use more closely and enforcing this rule more strictly beginning this semester.           

    Disregard of the policy may result in loss of your professor's privileges to offer classes in the UGLC bldg.  Since your professor doesn't want to teach classes in the parking lot, he will require strict adherence to this policy.
