Building a City and a Nation

I designed and helped to install the exhibit Building a City and a Nation: Immigration Stories from El Paso, Texas on display March 1, 2011 to May 15, 2011 at the Main Branch of the El Paso Public Library. This bilingual exhibit's content was created by faculty and students of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)'s Department of History. The exhibit features historic portraits taken at the Casasola Photography Studio in El Paso, Texas and documents the experiences, struggles

and triumphs of people crossing into the United States from Mexico with images of immigrants hailing from Mexico, Lebanon, China and beyond. My designs also included a bilingual trifold, five different publicity postcards, and over 64 informational text panels for the exhibit. The exhibit later traveled to The Houston Public Library and The University of Texas at Brownsville. See this page for more information about the exhibit.
