Designing my Annotated Bibliography Grecia Mata
How much time would you estimate it required to search, read, select and annotate each of the sources you found in the last exercise? Considering how many sources you need for the annotated bibliography, what is your time management plan for completing the assignment.
I would estimate about more than eight hours outside of class, as time to read, research. Every bibliography took me about an average of an hour and a half to write and check that its done correctly. My time management plan for this assignment is working on it at least an hour and half everyday and try to finish it by Friday. I will use all my extra time to refine my annotated bibliography and make sure it is done in the correct form. This has taken quite some time to finish because it needs to be done right.
What is your plan for including sources from different genres in terms of variety and quantity?
My plan for including sources from different genres in terms of variety and quantity will be a variety of articles from El Paso Times and from the scholar websites and databases. I will also use New York Times, Counter Punch, and Town Hall.
What criteria will you use in selecting or eliminating sources?
I will check the articles to see that they are accurate and worth for my annotated bibliography. I will check that they are about undocumented immigration or relating to it. I will also eliminate the articles that do not focus on my topic, and try to find other sources or websites. All that was used in my bibliography was from the internet but from scholarly websites.
What guidelines will you use in order to determine the credibility of online sources? Other sources?
The guidelines that I will use in order to determine the credibility of online sources will be like for example seeing that it is current and not so old. I will check that each article is relevant to my topic. I also looked at the data and information to see that it is good enough for my bibliography.
Describe your plan for including sources that counter-argue, provide historical information or data, such as surveys, facts and figures, etc.?
My plan for including sources is to include graphs and facts about undocumented immigration. I will also include many opinions and data. I used a graph for the impact of immigration on weekly wages.
