Executive Summary of My Community Problem Report

An important problem facing our community is that of Undocumented Immigration. Many immigrants come looking for a new chance and a new life. In order to survive they must have a plan and immigrate to another state or country. Related to that problem, the specific goal of this research report is to inform people about undocumented immigration and to present that it has been a problem for quite a while. Research and agency contacts indicate that the primary causes of this problem are lack of jobs, financial problems, and lack of educational opportunities. Current data shows that the present magnitude of the problem in our community is getting higher very year, because people cannot take it anymore, living in the poorest places.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of this problem is that it is constantly separating families when they immigrate. Sometimes the father immigrates to another country to send money to the family to succeed in life and for all the necessities. The actual economic impact this has on our community is very high, because it costs many get caught in raids and thrown into prison. Although many times immigrants are aware of the raids they still get caught because they have no idea when it will happen. The ongoing social impact of the problem is that families get divided because either the father or the mother leaves to look for a better future. Immigrants have so many problems in their hometown, so they immigrate to seek a better future for their families. Everyday people suffer because of these separations. Members of our community urgently need to give more attention to this problem because there are people who do not know about Undocumented Immigration. This report will be of particular interest to anyone, and should definitely be read by anyone who is interested in knowing more about immigration and understand why they immigrate to the United States. People need to be aware because they never know if they might have someone they know or a relative immigrating to the U.S.
