What do I need to check out books?   

UTEP students, faculty, and staff can check out books at the Circulation Desk with a current UTEP ID

Non-UTEP patrons can check out books if they purchase a Community Users Card for $50.00, renewable each year, or if they present to the Circulation Desk a TexShare card which they can obtain from the EPCC if they are students, faculty, or staff there.  Others can obtain a TexShare card from the Public Library if they are Public Library patrons.  The Circulation Department will honor all valid TexShare cards presented to them and in turn issue the patron with a UTEP Community User Card, good through August of each year or for a semester, depending on who the user is.
