WHAT DID WE FIND AT THE RIO GRANDE?

As a group, analyze your findings recorded in WORKSHEET #1 and answer the following questions in your journal (you may use the web-sites listed below):

1)      What was the most disturbing finding while visiting the banks of the Rio Grande?

2)      If you lived in the “colonias” in Juarez that border this river and this water supply was your only source of drinking water, what kind of health problems may your family experience?

3)      What kind of community effort would you initiate to clean up this ecological setting? Why would you want to initiate this community effort?

4)      Compare what you witnessed at the Rio Grande to the pictures you saw in Activity #1, what are some similarities, what are some differences?
