This expresses what is more or less the "official" logic of the dominant classes in most western societies!

I.e. every "A" (which stands for any given thing or social reality) has one and only one central, permanent nature, or "essence." Everything else is accidental. A blackboard is black, and not non-black. Sugar is sweet, and not bitter.  Green is green, and not red (or blue or yellow or brown or purple or...). Water is wet and not dry. A cat is not a dog. A good person is good and not bad. "Sounds logical," right?

So, how about these ideas? A ruler is a ruler, and not a subject. A slave is a slave, and by nature unfree--and that's the way it's going to stay. The poor are poor, and the rich are rich...things are the way they are (and will always stay the way they are), and that's that.  End of story.

Makes everything very "logical" and simple, doesn't it?

Maybe a bit too simple?
