Character: Are you just reciting what others wrote, like a ventriloquist's dummy? How much of your own voice and character is in what you write? Or,  how well do you introduce yourself in the paper as someone with the right to write about the subject? What will the audience think of you after reading your writing--is it sloppy, or does the text do you proud? What does the text say about YOU?
