Quiz:

1. What methods could you use to best make sure that in each of your courses you finish the semester knowing more about the subject than what the professor has demanded or taught? Please answer concretely, course by course.

2. Will you actually apply this thesis to each of your courses?  Why or why not? Please answer course by course. Answer in a considered, scholarly manner. "Because I don't wanna!" or "It's too hard to do!" are not scholarly answers!

Progymnasma 6: Confirmation. Defend a story.

Directions:

1. Tell a brief, three- or four-paragraph story of your own expected or possible future personal and career success if you actually apply the semester thesis in all your courses.

2. Then, after writing your personal success story, explain in one or two sentences why your story is:
  *manifest and obvious
  *probable and likely 
  *possible (could happen in the real world) 
  *logical and reasonable
  *fitting and right, and
  *profitable to you and to the world in your future life.
