The "THREE FOR ONE" deal:
Time management for this course.
The norm in American universities is that for every hour spent in class one must spend up to three hours outside of class studying, reading, writing, researching, working on line, or on other class-related activities.
This 3 credit course offers you 15 weeks of classes, with 2 hours 50 minutes (170 minutes) per week in the classroom. This means that you will spend about 40 hours, that is to say, one normal work-week, in class for this course, and about 80 hours outside of class.
You must be ready and willing to dedicate an average of up to 9 hours a week to this course outside of the classroom (reading, studying, talking, researching, writing, researching and thinking)
URGENT: If you find yourself spending significantly more time than expected on this course (more than 9 hours a week) outside of the classroom, please contact the instructor or peer leader immediately!
