        I chose this topic because it connects to my personal life in some way because my parents were once undocumented immigrants. If it was not for them I would have not been here in the United States. Some of my relatives want to immigrate to the United States but since nowadays it is different and hard to get here they have changed their minds. My family once suffered just like the undocumented immigrants living here today.

        As far as my educational life, it is important for me to learn more about this issue since I live within the border of El Paso and Mexico. I like to be aware of things and this topic will help me understand more and how people have different views and ideas. In high school I really did not learn much of this but I already knew some things about it because of the news I watched.

       This topic will help me in my professional life because I will become a teacher in the future. Maybe I will have to teach some of this background to the children as part of El Paso history and how it has changed. I will also be able to help my student's families if they are going through an issue like being an undocumented immigrant since I have always lived in El Paso.

       The topic I chose is important to my civic life because I will never know if  I have a neighbor that is undocumented. After my research I will understand more of my topic and I might even educate others. This topic I chose is very important to the community because nowadays more and more undocumented immigrants come to live to the United States.
