I’m Gabe Herbig, I go by they/them pronouns. I study Graphic Design with a minor in Drawing at The University of Texas at El Paso. Since the Summer of 2019, I have been working at the library on campus. There I am able to have the freedom to be colorful and illustrative in my designs. My duties primarily entail creating posters, web banners, social media posts, and directories.
In addition to designing for the library, I am the Vice President for the Queer Student Alliance (QSA). I contribute designs to the QSA, which so far include their logo, web banner, flyers, social media posts, and posters. I joined the QSA in the beginning of 2017 and held multiple officer positions besides my current one, including Historian and Treasurer. The QSA has inspired me to use my art as a platform for activism in the community with a friendly, but graphic art style. With fun, bright colors and bold, black lines I want my designs to be approachable, but under further inspection draw attention to serious subject matter that is important to me.
