My research interests:

My current research centers around the Computation of electronic, structural, magnetic, and related properties of materials. This work is Directed by Dr. R. Zope.

Previous Research

Computation of electronic, structural, and related properties of materials.

I worked with computational materials research group. We carried out simulation on several materials and obtained very interesting results which has been documented in several publications. My masters thesis title was on Accurate, Calculated Electronic, Transport, and Structural Properties of zinc-blende and wurtzite Zinc Sulphide (ZnS). Through my participation in this research work, I was exposed to several numerical methods for calculating and simulating electronic properties of materials. My thesis advisor was Dr. Diola Bagayoko

Numerical simulation of the polycrystallization of biominerals

We considered a multistage process that consisted of a polymer-induced liquid-precursor (PILP) phase and the occurrence of spherulites due to surface nucleation process for the synthesis of crystal polymorphs of biogenic substances. Such a process is modeled by the coupled Cahn-Hilliard Navier-Stokes system which describes the mixing of both miscible and immiscible liquids as well as the PILP phase. This project was supervised by Dr. Natasha Sharma.
