About

Bethuel O. Khamala is a Lecturer and Postdoc at The University of Texas at El Paso as well as an Adjunct Professor at El Paso community college. He received his PhD in Computational Science in may 2019 under the supervision of Dr. R. Zope and Dr. Tunna Baruah. He earned his Bachelor of science degree, and Master's degree, in Physics from Moi University, Kenya. In summer 2014, he received Master’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge (SUBR), Louisiana, USA, which was directed by Dr. Diola Bagayoko. While at SUBR, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Physics Department under the supervision of Dr. Diola Bagayoko. He is the recipient of the NSF-funded research project entitled Louisiana Simulation Guided Materials Applications (LA-SIGMA) Graduate Fellowship (2012-2014). He taught Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at High School for several years. He has also taught College Physics and Mathematics for several years. Dr. Khamala is currently working on quantum-mechanical simulations of materials using Ab-Initio codes under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Munoz.
