I was born in the city of El Paso in 1979 at Southwestern General Hospital on June 8th. This means that I am a gemini. This also means that most people are afraid of my multiple personalities. I heard, somewhere, that most people have two personalities. One personality for their family and friends and the other personality for everybody else. If this is ture, I have four because I already have two personalities because I'm a gemini.
I am the youngest of three children. I have one sister, the oldest, and one brother. This means that most people are afraid of me because I must be spoiled. I am spoiled and I'm proud of it. On one of the shows of Designing Women a blind man talking about Susan and her being spoiled said, "Why, because she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it?" So thats how I defend my self, I know what I want and I know how to get it.(I wish!)
I graduated from Father Yermo High School in '97 at the age of 17. I enjoyed my time at that school. It's a very small and loving school that is run by The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of the Poor. The sisters are the sweetest, most nicest nuns you'll ever meet. And you can tell by my grammar that they were so nice they never corrected me. I'm just joking. I learned a lot in that school and I am greatly endebted to them. More than anything, the sisters wanted us to be happy. They didn't care if we grew up to be nuns or doctors. They just wanted us to find our calling.
When people find out that I went to an all-girl Catholic school, they always ask if we prayed all the time. This is so not true. Yes, we said a prayer every morning to start the day and we would go to church once a month. But our curriculum concentrated on what other public high schools concentrated on. We were all normal teenagers. Its not like we were in training to become nuns. One of us did become a nun and we are very proud of her. But when we graduated, four out of the thirty-two of us were pregnant. Not me. And there were always guys waiting outside the school for their girlfriends. Girls who attend all-girl schools are normal. I liked the fact that there were no boys in the school because I never had to worry about the way I looked or how I was sitting. I loved that we had to wear uniforms because I hate getting up in the morning and trying to find something new to wear. I had the hardest time adjusting to college life because I never knew what to wear.
I'm really into television and movies. I can watch TV all day and never get bored. I don't have much of a social life because I rather be spending time with make-believe people than the real people around me. Make-believe people are easier to handle because when you get tired of them, you can just change the channel. I'm not a mean person, I'm just anti-social!
I am currently a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso. My major is Communications-Media Advertising with a minor in Computer Information Systems. I hope to graduate in May of 2002. It could have been sooner but when I first entered the university, I majored in Music. After a year or so I decided that music was not for me and I spent another year without a major. When I saw that I was about to complete all of the basics I had to decide on a major. Advertising seemed like a good choice eventhough I had no idea what it was. Now I am happy with my decision and even if I wasn't, I've come to far to change my major again.
I guess I have bored you with my life long enough. Now you can laugh by looking at some of my photographs. I did not want to include any on this site but there was a demand for it. You will see pictures of me with some of the most important people in my life. So here they are: Pictures
