Easter is always a fun affair. Dying eggs on the kitchen table and waking up to an Easter basket with one of those solid chocolate bunnies in it...never a hollow one! We'd all dress up in our special Easter outfits and go to church and then come home for the egg hunt in the yard. It rained one year and we had the egg hunt inside. We found a hard boiled egg months later in the couch cushions- pretty gross. Last year it was great to have Francesca around as an excuse to revive the egg hunt tradition in the front yard. This year maybe Nicholas will get into the act, if he can walk by that point! The motley bunny collection gets placed atop the piano and dad hangs the plastic eggs on his homemade tree. Mom makes Easter-specific dishes, and as always, some are for giving, others are for us, and all help mark the passing of time and let us know that spring has finally arrived.
