Thanksgiving in the Giangiulio house means being grateful for the cornucopia of good stuff we have all been lucky enough to share: food, fun and family. For many years we attended the Malvern Prep vs. Archbishop Carroll football game in the day before dinner. It pitted the allegiances of Louis and Anne against those of Anthony, Peter and Chrissy. The most memorable Thanksgiving had to be in 1994 when Mom cooked her turkey recipe...yes, that's right, it was in the oven under the turkey for six hours and somehow remained intact. We of course always had the basics: turkey, carved by Dad with that ancient German antler-handled set, and all the trimmings. CLICK TO WATCH DAD'S CARVING MOVIE. What helps to make our Turkey Day special are these recipes, all offering an unexpected twist on the traditional favorites.
