The Giangiulio backyard is a great place to be in the summertime. Summer parties mean bringing out the extra tables and chairs from the garage, plastic tablecloths, big sun umbrellas, and everyone finding their place to eat near the patio buffet. There is always some reason to throw a party and a big backyard with a pool provided the ideal conditions for marco polo, bocce, or croquet. There are Memorial Day or Fourth of July BBQs and with five kids in the family, there was always someone graduating from somewhere. In 1988, it was Anne graduating from Eighth Grade at Saint Katharine's, Peter from High School at Carroll and Anthony from College at the Airforce Academy! At my grade school pool party almost all 40 kids in my class showed up. Last summer we had an engagement party for Chrissy and Tom. A great bocce match ensued afterwards.
